#Repost @chanewie with @repostapp. ・・・ Let’s face it. 🤔 These two incomplete sets represent my greatest, most expensive brush purchases of 2015/ever. And if I want to be 100% honest, the #kihitsu WCS L face brush is my most favorite brush purchase ever! 💕 Def my new number 1 favorite brush (Sturdy, huge, fluffy, yet efficient big mama). #AllHailTheQueen. 😍 Now if I had to pick my second most favorite brush ever, it would be the #koyomo black Hana cheek brush. 👌🏽 I actually prefer it for powdering than the koyomo face. I use it for both powdering and blush. ✍🏾Final thoughts: I must admit that it is because of the lovely #brushfiend community that I even went down this rabbit hole. Best believe I’ll be on a heavy duty diet in 2016 minus a few lemmings (👀customized #takedabrushes 👀). Glad that I am blessed enough to be able to afford the little I have, and to have met the people I have in 2015. I just hope to maintain these new found friendships and be thankful for what I have and not more! #Repost @caticagomita with @repostapp. ・・・ My friend, brush expert extraordinaire, and all around wonderful human @sweetmakeuptemptations has tagged me to post my own 🏆2015 Brush Awards🏆so here it goes! 🍬Brush Set of the year – I rarely buy full brush sets, so this one was easy: #Chikuhodo x #Beautylish Sakura collection. After plenty of use I continue to be extremely pleased with all 5 brushes, even the weirdly shaped crease brush which, in fairness, does get used less than the other 4. Comparing to similarly priced brushes in my collection, these stand out; the pretty Sakura print is just the cherry on top. 🍬Brush Discovery of the year – #SurrattBeauty, a bunch of sexy mofos. The cheek brush is possibly my favourite cheek brush to date. 🍬Best Performance – I cheated and put in 2 pics for this one. First, #Hakuhodo J series. The selection is massive and possibly overwhelming at first, but you’ll find a brush for every possible function and they really are THAT GOOD. The ones pictured here (SJ103 which is just J103 with a fancy handle, J110, J5521, J142) have become extensions of my hand, at this point. Chikuhodo GSN 04, 08, Special G-9 (last one was a gift from some very kind friends 😱 I cannot thank you enough). Workhorses. Utterly underrated. If I were more reasonable, I could live with just these 3 plus a couple of goat eye brushes from Haku’s J series. 🍬Out-of-Budget Award – #Koyudo White Canadian Squirrel brushes. This one pic I stole from @novynovynovy, clearly 😜 🍬 Craftsmanship Award – #Koyomo black Hana, #Qusavi Sometsuke Sansui, #Koyudo Lacquered kabuki. 🍬 Must-have Award – Koyomo pink series. A fraction of the cost of the more traditional Koyomo series with outstanding hair quality. This is probably THE softest goat you can get without having to also pay for a fancy collector’s handle. Just buy them. 🍬Facegasm Award – no hesitation here: Chikuhodo P-8 aka. The Beast, #Kihitsu CS large powder brush (strangely, this is so much softer than my half-matching cheek brush), and Koyudo Saibikoho cheek brush.
